Teaser movie poster attempt

This is my first attempt at a teaser movie poster. I plan to show people it and ask them to see if they can guess what the film is going to be about.

Teaster movie poster

A teaser poster is an early version of a film poster, containing a basic image or design without revealing too much information such as the plot or characters. The purpose is to promote awareness and generate hype for the film. A tagline may be used for this first teaser poster.

 

These are some examples of teaser movie posters. As you can see, all of them have a black background and contain on image per poster. The image is actually quite essential to the film; however, you wouldn’t know this without seeing the film. They also all contain a date for when the film is going to be released. None contain an actual character which tells me that I will only need to use an object for mine. Only one of these posters contain a tag line, which shows that teaser posters can include tag lines on them. I will now create my own teaser movie poster using the same techniques that are being used here.



Feedback

After showing a group of people I have received advice on how to make the video a bit more smooth. I will do this by re editing the video, and moving around some scenes, then adding a scene of one of the students walking in and sitting on a chair.

After showing this clip to a focus group with the ages 17-18, I have revived a bit of feedback from them. This main bits they said I need to focus on is making sure the person who is on screen speaks a lot clearer so it is easy to understand them. Also to make sure the lighting is right when recording to make it easy to see who is on the screen. I will take al, the points on board and make sure I change the way I record or keep in the points that people liked such as the sound effects and background music.

First attempt at a teaser trailer

For this video, I have used a clip of a band that I have recorded myself. I then recorded the character talking in the office space that I plan to use for the future for his actual office.

Magazine idea

This is an idea for a front cover I could further develop. I will use this as a template when I am designing my final front cover idea.
