This is the opening credits for the TV show Trollied. This is how I am planning to set out my first few scenes of my trailer, as I plan to have a montage of students talking about the school.

I have created a script for my teaser trailer that I plan to create.

Movie posters

From this data, I can see the most important aspects that I will need to include on my poster. The most important things would be a picture of one or more people, and the title of the film, this font being larger than the rest of any other words on the page.to make sure it stands out. The date that it will be released and a tag line. I will make the tag line sound funny as then it will allow the audience to know that this film is a comedy. Most include a ‘From the director of…’ on the front to bring in people who have seen that film and may enjoy this film. I could put something like this on the front to draw in new people.

Casting choice

For my cast, I have asked a student who took drama for GCSE and AS level. He has agreed to be my main character, the head teacher. He doesn’t go to my school, which would be easier, however he is a very good actor and I believe that he would play the character exactly how I want him to play. I have also asked him if he has a suit that he could wear for his role and he said that he has one that he can wear. This will be his main costume as he will be wearing this for most of the trailer.

I have also asked a number of students in my media class to take part in the first clip of my trailer in which several students are talking about the school. As there will not be a school uniform at the school that I am filming about, they are able to wear just what they want. I may also ask younger year students to say something as they will be in uniform and will make it look more like this is about the whole school and not just the sixth form.

Previews

When a new film is being realised, usually a film that is directed by a well-known film director, the director may release a teaser picture of the set or a clapper bored. Examples of this would be Zach Snyder uploading costumes from the upcoming super hero movie, The Justice League. Or JJ Abrams uploading a picture of the clapper board from the new Star Wars film. After looking at this, I decided to make my own version of this. I decided to create a picture of a clapper bored and wrote on it pretending that it was the first shot of the day. This is to tease the upcoming films to the target audience, using social media to spread the word of the film on a social media site such as Instagram.
