Plan and actors for inspector’s scene

I have asked two friends to be the Ofstead inspectors. They will both be in suits to make them look for official and serious. This will also show that they are not actually from the school as they are well dressed and everyone in comparison is not.

I also have a free day on the 7^th of February that I will dedicate to filming. I plan to get as much done as I can, but definitely the inspectors scene. In the morning I plan to get the inspector scene recorded and edited by the end of the day. This will be done in costume. I also plan to get shots of classrooms and other shots for the trailer.

Music choices for trailers

The two music choices I have made so far is ‘Bad moon rising’ by Creedence Clearwater Revival, and ‘Peaches’ by the Stranglers. I chose Peaches as it has a really long into, so I am able to fit a whole scene into that intro. Also, the song gives an image of someone who is in charge and likes to deliver bad news to people, which is the perfect representation of the inspector characters. I chose bad moon rising to start the trailer as it gives the impression of joy and makes anything look good which is what the head teacher is trying to do with the school. Also, the lyrics ‘I see a bad moon a-rising’ and ‘I see trouble on the way’ is a shadow of what is about to happen to the school as trouble is literally on the way, in the form of a huge debt.

Next steps

For the next thing I plan to do is to have a full day of recording to get as much done as I can. I plan to get done to scene where the inspectors come into the school and give the head teacher the letter to alert him that they are now in debt. Also I plan to at least get rough copies of every scene so I can see what works and what does not.

Below is the first half of my trailer. When I re record for the real thing I plan to make changes to aspects such as what people are wearing, as the two men will be wearing suits, and locations, as I plan to find an office to record in.
